Rifat Ozbek

Rıfat Ozbek was born in Istanbul in 1953.
He moved to England in 1970 in order to study architecture at Liverpool University and graduated in 1972.
1974-1977 he studied BA (hons) fashion design at Saint Martin′s School of Art, London.
He designed for the 1970s designer Walter Albini (Trell, Milan) between 1978 and 1980. He later worked as a designer for the chain store Monsoon in London between 1980 and 1984.
In 1984 he founded his own firm 'Ozbek'.
In the late 2000s Ozbek moved back to Turkey and opened his cushion boutique in Istanbul.
