Martin Hazell
Martin Hazell studied design at the Central School of Art & Design, followed by a career at a London design consultancy (CCD). He has been a research fellow at the Royal College of Art, taught design in Mexico and is a fellow of the Royal Society of Arts.
CCD was created in November 1977, with the objective to offer clients professional ergonomics consultancy allied to practical design.
The founding directors, John Wood, Martin Hazell and Mike Clark, had been working together through the Industrial Design Research Unit at the RCA on various control room design projects for the Home Office. The original work of CCD continued this theme with projects throughout 70s and 80s designing rooms for the emergency services.
