DescriptionHand and machine appliquéd image and lettering on vintage embroidered cotton tablecloth. The image shows a child migrant detainee at US/Mexico border behind bars and separated from his parents. “The phrase ‘I blame it on the parents’ comes from first hand experience. …My set of work focuses on inbuilt prejudices held by many in ‘polite society’ who feel, however, it is bad form to openly confront racism.”
