DescriptionThis could be a set design for a stage production, as suggested by the curtains that frame the top and the sides of this scene, or an illustration to a related publication. The scene depicts a man and a woman, both in ancient Greek garb, riding a large Zebra-like sea-horse; a pair of very stylised swordfish can be seen swimming alongside. Dry land, with a landscape of hills, houses and a temple (also ancient Greek in appearance) can be seen in the background.
