DescriptionIn 1937, Kestelman was commissioned by Noel Carrington to produce a book called 'The Circus in England', which was never published due to the war. This print of a bareback horse rider was just one of many pieces created by Kestelman with Carrington's commission in mind. 'Bareback Rider' is a colour lithograph (made from a 1937 pastel drawing) depicting a circus scene with a woman riding a horse 'bareback'; a clown, the Ring Master and another figure in the background.
