DescriptionDora Batty taught in the School of Textiles at the Central School from 1950 to 1958 ('Her innovative teaching attracted a number of well-known designers to the staff'). These small plates were made especially for children (nurseryware), hence the size and the nursery rhyme themed illustrations (by Batty).
