Louise Goldin
Born and raised in London, Louise Goldin graduated from Central Saint Martins in 2001 with a BA in Fashion Knitwear. She then worked as head designer at Tereza Santos in Brazil for two years programming and learning about the machines. She later returned to Central Saint Martins to study on the MA Knitwear course, showing her graduation collection during London Fashion Week in 2005. Her degree collection was bought and produced exclusively by Selfridges
Goldin is an innovator in knitting, she creates powerful silhouettes and body contouring, continually researching new techniques and technologies meticulously.
She has received a number of prestigious awards including BFC’s New Generation sponsorship, The Deutsche Bank’s Pyramid and the Chloé award.
Her work has been featured in numerous prominent fashion publications and sold in stores such as Harrods, Maria Luisa, L’Eclaireur and Galeries Lafayette.
In 2010, Louise Goldin was announced as the winner of the BFC's Fashion Forward prize - the first time the entire award funding had been given to a single designer.
