Julia Gash

School: Central Saint Martins

Julia Gash is a Sheffield-based creative entrepreneur and British artist who is passionate about art and maps. She creates hand drawn illustrations using brush and ink and collaborates with retailers and licensees worldwide.
Julia ran a successful, export-led fashion brand in the 1990s, an internationally
renowned lingerie retail group in the noughties and founded eco-bag manufacturer Bag
It Don’t Bin It in 2007, which she sold to her management team 10 years later.

She was awarded a fellowship from the Royal Society of Arts for her work in contribution to arts and ethical and sustainable commerce in 2014. She has won many regional and national business awards including the British Fashion Exporter of the Year Award in 1996 and the IoD National and Yorkshire Director of the Year for SME Businesses 2014.
