Edward Allington

English artist and sculptor, best known for his part in the 1980s New British Sculpture movement.
1968 to 1971 - Lancaster College of Art
1971 to 1974 - Central School of Art and Design
1983 to 1984 - Royal College of Art
1975 to 1977 - fellow at Exeter College of Art and Design

1989 - John Moores Liverpool Exhibition Prize
1991 to 1993 - Gregory Fellow in Sculpture at University of Leeds
1993 - Research Fellow Sculpture at Manchester Metropolitan University
1997 - fine art award to work at the British School at Rome

He exhibited in museums and art galleries throughout the world and is represented in major national and international collections, including the Arts Council, Tate, Henry Moore Institute, V&A and British Museum.
Allington lived and worked in London and was a Professor and Head of Graduate Sculpture at Slade School of Fine Art UCL.
