Filipe Cravo

Filipe Cravo was born in 1977, in Portugal.
In 2000, Cravo graduated in Painting at the University School of Arts – ARCA, Coimbra, Portugal, where he studied under João Dixo and Alexandre Melo.
In 2001, Cravo enroled in the prestigious Master’s degree in Fine Art at Central Saint Martins College of Art & Design, London, under Joanna Greenhill. His thesis, “Humour in my (he)Art”, was developed under the supervision of Alex Landrum.
Back in Portugal, Filipe Cravo founded, in 2005, Magia Negra, a weekly radio show dedicated to jazz, funk, soul and the passion for vinyl records, at RUC – University of Coimbra Radio.
Filipe Cravo is the founder and mentor of Clube da Esquina arts school and event venue, in Figueira da Foz.
