Rui Matsunaga
attended Central Saint Martins College of Art & Design, London between 1996 and 1999, before going on to study at Royal Academy Schools between 1999 and 2002. Matsunaga was a finalist in the John Moores Painting Prize 2012, Celeste Art Prize 2007 and Lexmark European Art Prize. She has exhibited globally with notable solo shows held at the PAPER Gallery, Manchester; House of St. Barnabas, London and Gallery Primo Alonso, London. An upcoming solo exhibition of her works will be held at the Atkinson Southport Museum, Southport in 2021.
Her works are also held in the collections of the Victoria and Albert Museum, London; University of the Arts, London; SOHO House, Amsterdam; The Atkinson Museum, Southport; The Mag Collection, London and House of Barnabas among many others.
