Guy R. Worsdell

After studying at the Central School, Wordsell had further trainiing in wood engraving from R. J. Beedham (1936-8). As a painter and printmaker his subjects were usually landscapes and railway subjects. He illustrated a few books, including three for the Caravel Press (1951-2). He first exhibited with the Society of Wood Engravers (SWE) in 1934, and was elected a member in 1971. He produced two engravings for a Students Union pamphlet, Central Papers 1930 (pp.40, 49).
