Phyllis Barron

Textile designer and block printer. She taught herself discharge printing with old wood blocks on textiles while still a painting student at the Slade School. She finally cut her own first design in 1915. Her work was soon included in the early displays of the Omega Workshops. She began a working partnership with Dorothy Larcher in 1923 which lasted until Larcher's death in 1952. They worked and lived in Painswick Gloucestershire from 1930 onwards.
