David Reeves
He studied at Northampton School of Art and London University before training at the
Central School 1950-51 where he obtained the Central Diploma, and the RCA 1951-54. He was awarded an RCA Travelling Scholarship and a British Pottery Manufacturers Travelling Scholarship.
He worked in industry fom 1954 to 1967 first at the Worcester Royal Porcelain Company and from 1964 - 67 as Design Director at the Kilkenny Design Workshops, Ireland.
He was a senior lecturer in the Faculty of Industrial Design, Liverpool Polytechnic from 1967-72 . He was Head of the Ceramic Department at the Central School of Art and Design from 1972-1989 . Since his move to rural Wiltshire in 1991 he has been engaged as a' full time practioner with a studio/workshop producuing hand made artifacts, mainly in ceramics, the results of which reflect my long standing relationship with the medium and interest in visual imagery.'
He has exhibited widely and has produced public art work for organisations in Wiltshire.
