Emery Walker
Emery Walker (1851-1933) was a printer
lived at Hammersmith Terrace; shared interest in socialism with his friend of William Morris, inspired and advised Morris in the setting up of Kelmscott Press
in 1900 Walker set up the Doves Press in partnership with the bookbinder TJ Cobden-Sanderson
Walker was a key figure many of the Arts & Crafts movement, he was a member of the Art Workers' Guild, the Society for the Protection of Ancient Buildings and of the Arts and Crafts Exhibition Society
He was given a knighthood in 1930
