Norman Ackroyd
Norman Ackroyd attended Leeds College of Art from 1956-1961 and the Royal College of Art
from 1961-1964. He was elected Royal Academician in l988. He taught printmaking at the Central School of Art and Design and Central Saint Martins from 1965 to 1993. Ackroyd works in various mediums including etching, monotype, watercolour and oil. He produced his first artist's book 'Landscape and Figures' in 1973 and has continued to produce one most years since then. The College has a complete collection of these books and is currently cataloguing them on the database. In 2006 there was a major exhibition of his work in the Lethaby Gallery.
