Paula Dischinger

CSM MA Performance: Society (2023-2025)

Paula Dischinger is an artist based in Berlin and London. After teaching expressive arts in Malawi, she completed her Bachelor in Fashion Design at the Institut Français de la Mode in Paris, where her final collection was featured in the opening show of Paris Fashion Week 2023. In her Masters she studied Performance: Society at the Central Saint Martins University in London. Her professional journey brought her to the Kajihara Design Studio in Tokyo and Melitta Baumeister in New York.

HERDENTIER, ABENDESSEN and PAPIERFLIEGEREI are three of her works. Paula's work explores the hand-brain cooperation, as well as the dynamics between individual and community. A main focus lays on public spaces. Her practice is rooted in haptics, presence, and socially engaged exploration. Her interest in humans, their abilities in no matter which field and her very active eyes open doors in all different directions. Once the door is open air can enter.
