Jiangling Wang
CSM: MA Design: Jewellery (2023-2025)
Jiangling Wang is originally from Henan, China. She graduated in 2025 with an MA
in Jewellery Design from Central Saint Martins, University of the Arts London, and is now based in London, creating and making in a jewellery studio in Lewes.
Inspired by textile craftsmanship, her practice explores the relationship between tools,
materials and the maker. By combining metal weaving with self-made tools, she translates textile logic into metal structures, revealing the subtle details and the inherent vitality of materials in hand-making.
Wang's research focuses on the interplay of tools, materials, the body and rhythm, emphasising the sensory values embedded in craft processes. She aims to sustain a cross-cultural, slowpaced way of living that values the spiritual significance of materials and making, integrating everyday life with artistic practice to nurture a sustainable creative ecosystem.
