Venus Ashu

My name is Venus Ashu and I am a Cameroonian German writer, photographer, and
filmmaker. I developed my passion for storytelling through my MA performance writing
course at Central Saint Martins where I realised my passion leaned toward screenwriting
for film, TV, and animation.
My writing tends to focus on women and femininity and explores the intricacies of female
identities within society. Yet I do this with a comedic perspective that makes life colourful
and exciting. Some of my inspirations include Issa Rae, Michaela Coel, and Quinta
Brunson.
