Ismini Samanidou
School: Central Saint Martins
Ismini Samanidou was born and grew up in Athens, Greece and went to school there until 18. She came to study a Foundation in Art and Design at Camberwell College of Art before going to Central St Martins where she graduated in 2003 with a BA in Textiles, specialising in weave. After that an MA in in Constructed Textiles at the Royal College.
Ismini has since then moved between her own work, which is one-of-a-kind exhibition pieces and artworks, and working with other designers on different projects, working on commissions with architects, teaching and travelling.
