Angelica Ellis is an embroidery designer and sampler who specifically works in the fashion industry with over a year of industry experience doing hand embroidery internship in Paris.

Angelica has done internships with Maison Lemarié, Atelier Lebuisson and Atelier Baqué Molinié where she would make hand embroidery samples for clients like Chanel, Dior, Valentino, fendi and Schiaparelli. Angelica has also worked for the fashion designer Ashish as an embroidery sampler in London. She graduated from Central Saint Martins with a bachelor in Fashion print and the Royal college of art with a masters degree in Fashion. Angelica has also completed The Chanel and Kings foundation Métiers d’Art embroidery fellowship in partnership with Le19m. After the end of Angelica’s fellowship she has exhibited her embroidery artwork at The Garrison Chapel in chelsea, London.

Angelica approaches embroidery through material experimentation and transformation. She creates original embellishments for embroidery that are often developed from the narratives she explores. For her concepts Angelica is often inspired by the lives of marginalised groups and their personal interaction with their body, public perception and style narrative. Subverting and deconstructing Embroidery practices to recreate new ways of working is an area of interest for Angelica.
