Lilian Maud Sear

Lilian Maud Sear was born on 2nd July 1904. She was a student at Central School of Arts & Crafts in the early 1920s. She gained a first in the City and Guilds Embroidery exam in 1922.
Her work was exhibited at the Royal Academy and at the Paris Exhibition of 1925.
She married Leslie Frederick Winslow, a bank clerk on April 2nd 1932, at St Paul Parish Church, Herne Hill. They had one son, born in 1933, Derek Allen.
