Jane Cummings (1917-2001) was a painter, printmaker, illustrator and teacher. She studied at Harrow School of Art, Chelsea School of Art under Graham Sutherland and Harold Williamson and at the Central School of Arts & Crafts with Clarke Hutton. Her work has been exhibited widely. Her best-known work is probably the cut-out book, ‘A Theatre You Can Make’, for Puffin Books.
