Stella Marsden

Stella Marsden is a figurative painter and teacher. She studied at the Royal College of Art 1938-1946 under Gilbert Spencer. After teaching art appreciation to troops during the war and at various schools after, she went on to become senior lecturer in painting at Saint Martin’s School of Art.
She was commissioned to design various posters for London Transport as well as one for the Festival of Britain.
