Judy Dewsbery
After graduating from the Royal College of Art, Judy joined independent fashion ‘house’ Swanky Modes (1972-1993), a year after it was started by St Martins graduates Esme Young and Willie Walters, together with their friend Melanie Langer, opened a small shop in Camden Town selling their own designs.
Now an artist rather than dress designer, she runs the Beacon arts centre in Hastings and shares her home with various members of her family.
