Cecil Collins studied at Plymouth School of Art from 1923 to 1927 and the RCA from 1928-1931. He taught part time in various places including the Central School (1951-1989). Known for his mystical and visionary painting, Collin's classes at the Central were unique and he attracted many students, teaching until a few months before he died. A number of his prints were bequeathed by his wife Mrs Elizabeth Collins in 2002 through the National Art Collections Fund
