DescriptionThe book of common prayer, and administration of the sacraments, and other rites and ceremonies of the church according to the Church of England; together with the psalter or psalms of David, pointed as they are to be sung or said in churches; and the form or manner of making, ordaining, and consecrating of bishops, priests and deacons.
Very ornate binding; sewn on 4 sewing stations; full bound in grained red morocco; head bands of multi-coloured silk; central black morocco oval onlay, with green morocco oval onlay with flame design round the edge, angels on the back, more angels and JHS in centre; gold tooled key pattern rolled borders with angels in the corners; 6 panels on spine interspersed with ornate pallet lines and oval motifs in each panel.
