DescriptionPage 'CCXIII' or 213 from the Chronicle. Page number in top right corner of recto. There are four half-length portrait illustrations on the recto including a Saint (who is also a Martyr), a tyrant, a cardinal and a King. The Saint is 'S.Petrus Martyr de or Predicatoy'; the tyrant is 'Etzelinus Tyrannus'; the cardinal, 'Hugo Cardinalus' and the King is 'Manfredus Rex'. The verso features two half-length portraits of Popes, 'Urbanus Quartus' and 'Clemens Quartus', and one other half-length, of 'Bernardus Copostella nus Doctor'. The verso depicts a comet which, according to the text, was seen in the skies during 'MCCLXIII' or 1263. This illustration is titled 'Cometa Insignis'.
