DescriptionMajor (historiated) initial 'O' on a gold rectilinear ground (outline in black) with extended decorative flourishing in red, orange, blue, pink and green (all with decorative white overpainting). Stylised gold dot motifs, as often used by Bolognese illuminators during this period. Text in textualis rotunda. Inhabited by a crowned figure; could be a Biblical character (David) or even a patron.
