DescriptionCentral ogee shaped panel, containing picture of Virgin under green canopy, surrounded by ten oval panels and four diamonds formed in the interstices between ovals. Centre panel contains flower motif - lily, cornflower, daisy, iris, pink, love-in-the-mist, campanula, tulips, carnations (unfinished, the inked design showing) white anemone, daffodil, speedwell, pink anemone etc. Outlines of panels and border elaborately worked in gold and silver thread. Probably Venetian.
