DescriptionCompanion piece is P.113 (or 94 in the series). Both 94 and 95 were renumbered 110 and 111 respectively (and then 112 and 113 after two blocks went missing some time before 1777). This print depicts the prisoners taken during Maximilian's conquests, being led as part of the Emperor's Triumph, with soldiers (wearing laurel wreaths) guarding them. The chain leads off to the left hand side to join the chain in P.113. From Treitszaurwein's notes (see Documentation): "[After him] shall follow the prisoners (from all sorts of countries); a few soldiers shall lead the prisoners and around the prisoners shall be a chain". These prisoners were among only a handful not to be decorated with Laurel wreaths. A fine Imperial watermark (a double headed eagle)is visible and should date this print to the 1526 edition.
