DescriptionMounted on paper. From the Great Passion (see also P.101) published by Durer at Nuremberg in 1511. This is from the later group of five woodcuts made mostly in 1510 which, along with the group of seven woodcuts made between 1497 and 1500, made up Durer's Great Passion or "Passio domini nostri Jesu per fratrem chelidonium collecta cum figuris Alberti Dureri - nostri pictoris". The verses of this 'lover of the muse' (as the Benedictine monk Schwalbe/Chelidonius calls himself in the title) are printed in two columns on the verso of the woodcuts. There is, however, only one column visible (though much of the text has been damaged and is no longer visible) which appears to be part of the colophon as it reads
"Impressum Nurnberge. . . " This seems possible, as the Resurrection would have been the last image in the series and therefore, probably the last page.
