DescriptionA mass produced woodcut print which would have found it's market among the more affluent of the lower classes with particular popularity in Northern Europe (Germany, the Netherlands and Lowlands etc.) The depiction of Crucifixions, Descents and Pietas (such as this one) being a reminder of Christ's suffering 'for our sins'.
