Description from BAMS Student Medal Project XXXI 2018:'This medal was inspired by the quote from "Richard II". I think people nowadays don't realise how important time is until they are running out of it. The medal seems as if it is melting from the top, like a candle, which symbolises this concept, time running away between your fingers!'
