DescriptionEdie studied MA Fine Art: Photography at Camberwell College of Arts. She says, ''Set in Stone' explores impermanence, both in the nature of photography and the shifting
rhythms of the mind. Each physical process is a means to counterbalance scattered
thoughts. The work leans into slowness and careful attention, using making as a way to
pause and reflect. What remains are fragments. These are traces of a self that feels
fractured but still held together. Committing the photographs to clay is a slow, physical
labour. Through cutting, layering and collage, the pieces come together to form a new kind of reality, one shaped by instinct, memory and emotion'.
