DescriptionPoppy studied BA Graphic Communication Design at Central Saint Martins. She says, 'The Critical Report [which links to object UAC 1179 in the UAL Art Collection] uses my own experience of becoming a mother at the age of 21 as a point of departure and then situates this within the systemic, broader issues in relation to isolation and the negative stereotyping of those becoming parents at a younger age than culturally expected. Within the report, I detail how I used object elicitation methods and auto-photography to empower mothers of a young age to tell their stories on their terms, giving them agency, ownership and authorship'.
