DescriptionNathan studied BA Design Management at London College of Communication. He says, 'My work focuses on designing for difficult conversations, exploring how personal anxieties are shaped by broader societal and social systems.
'End Game' is a role-playing board game shaped by Ernest Becker’s writing on mortality, Sheldon Solomon’s terror management theory, insights from 53 research participants, and my own turn to philosophy after the deaths of friends and family. Using iterative system feedback loops, the game reflects how people move between fear, anxiety, avoidance, understanding, and acceptance. By translating complex theory into a communal, playful experience, 'End Game' helps players navigate emotional and existential terrain with greater clarity, increasing death literacy and easing discomfort'.
