DescriptionYuri Choi studied BA Fine Art (Photography) at Camberwell College of Arts. She says: art is a journey that continually grounds me in the world. My childhood spent with my grandparents in a nature-surrounded log house is the source of my art. I create visual records to preserve and relive those fleeting moments. My work revolves around the precious memories from that log house, where the gentle and vibrant nature was crucial in shaping my identity and artistic expression. I capture nature using film cameras and Polaroids, embracing an analogue style that evokes my childhood environment. My art is more than nostalgia; it is an essential process in defining who I am and interpreting the world through my eyes. I hope viewers will reconnect with their own nature memories through my work.
