DescriptionPatchwork quilt with #Black Lives Matter appliqued over it. Stitched over the entire quilt are the words: During the 19th century Harriet Tubman civil rights activist and feminist helped 70 American slaves escape to freedom on the underground railroad. A small printed square at the bottom of the quilt reads: ‘in 2013 the movement began with the use of the hashtag ~BlackLivesMatter on social media after the acquittal of George Zimmerman in the shooting death of African American teen Trayvon Martin’
