BA Textile Design students Michael Woods, Phoebe Sudderick, Lily Thornton, and Mimi Forrest devised their own visual data collection using London transport as inspiration for weave and printed textiles. From this, four students were selected by staff from the Museum and Textile Companies to take their designs to the Weaving Futures studio.
For this project, I was inspired by the symbols and signs that we all encounter in the urban environment, especially in a rapidly changing city like London but that we unconsciously ignore.
