DescriptionFilmed performance and printed thesis.
Description from the artist:
Reality is not what it seems.
Reality is what it SEAMS.
The universe is not real.
The universe does reel.
What we weave is what we have.
Everything vanishes like a wave.
An exploration of seams, and their appearance around, within, or between us. Can the seam
teach us points of view that bring us closer to the reality of life? The investigation starts
with phenomena, with emerging and with becoming rather than being. The notion of the
seam, understood as a process that joins together two (or various) hitherto foreign
substances opens questions on the nature of phenomena, processes, touch and separation,
chaos and order, movement, vibration, and communication. This is a süory about the seam
shaped by different voices that explore different aspects of the life of a sea, building a web
of seams, threads interrringling. The inquiry follows the seams into our universe, into
socie§, within our personal mental experience and our sensations.
The world is processes ofjoining and separating emergences.
The body of work regarding this project consists of a wriuen thesis, accompanied by
photographical documentation of the physical workprocess, of a filmed performance, and
of a textile installation.
