DescriptionInstagram account. Description from the artist: Instagram has become a centralized platform for a construction of online-self. Through a Lacanian-psychoanalytical feminist lens and autobiographical Instagram account, I investigate this platform as a virtual theatre stage to reconstruct an identity - and induce a retroactive development and ongoing performance of that identity. This performance is a rhetorical inquiry of Instagram topologies and follower engagement. Sadie draws attention to how Instagram can encompass so many things: a catalyst for self-¬doubt, self-suppression, self-discovery, and possibly therefore a catalyst for change.
