Medium: Crushing- Self-portrait engulfing grapes in resin and rotted grapes + Becoming- Self- portrait holding rotted avocadoes in rotted avocadoes’ in resin and chocolate (SC- please note we are purchasing digital files recording these projects rather than the physical works. We are taking in Crushing physically to the museum but it will be returned to the artist if it deteriorates due to the organic content. The purchase is for the digital files.)

DescriptionDigital captures of Becoming, a self portrait in rotting avacados and chocolate, and digitial captures and a sample work of Crushing, made from resin and grapes (to be returned to the artist if work becomes unstable).
Desciption from the artists: The work shown is inspired by the Greek god’s Dionysos consuming grapes. Primarily, my self-portraiture was inspired by my Christain beliefs in God using the the Seven Deadly sins in the Bible. This sin was representational of gluttony. In addition, I drew inspiration from the fruits in the Garden of Eden.
