between the creative works of the poet and the programmer, the artist and the
designer.
In the highly commercialised worlds of web and UI/UX design, what space exists
for self-expression? Does exploring creative ideas fall solely into the domain of the
artist, free from the expectations of technology, industry and economy?
To challenge the separation between these disciplines, I have positioned myself as
an internet poet, composing verses with code; a digital gardener pruning the
poetic from the chaotic. What results is an online platform that asks questions of
the viewer’s digital life, inviting an examination of their own attitudes to the digital
spaces they inhabit by transforming familiar structures and systems of interface
into esoteric, playful materials for creating art and telling stories.

Morse code beacon quietly flashes encoded information — URLs, instructions
and poetic excerpts — that guide viewers to the website, should they choose to
be taken. Amidst the overwhelming flow of information that surrounds us both
online and in reality, this gentle presence gives the viewer a genuine freedom to
choose whether they wish to engage with the information.

willing who seek to better understand the relationship between the structures of
the internet and the human experience.
