DescriptionDigitial film.
Description by the designer: 뿔뿔 FoolPool is a Korean word to describe the sound of state when something is
scattered away, pronounced as poolpool/foolfool, which makes both Korean and English
title of this film.
Foolpool is a self-documentary and psychological experimental film about the body and
how oneself perceives it, starting with an observation of the female/queer body, it then
exams the broader contexts of nature, sexuality and the connection between them.
Femininity is symbolized through natural elements such as water, representing it as a
source of life and fertility.
The film leaps into the pool of fragmented ideas and encourages the audience to dive
deeper to feel it with your skin. What makes you isolated, lonely, trapped yet so eager to
be connected with every existing being? How do you gather detached ideas about
yourself to form your identity?
The film itself is a big question mark to the unknown, yet a hole doesn’t know the bottom.
