DescriptionDescription from the artist: The film: withering flower, blooming seed depicts life: ending with a lonely death which is a raised social problem in Korea and Japan.
In recent few years in Korea (at point of 2022), the number of people ending their life with lonely death has increased among the ages of the 20s, 30s, and middle ages. The life of fish, moving to different environments is used as a metaphor to demonstrate how the size of the demographic has changed smaller which is one of the major causes of lonely death.
The film shows the fish’s life in different social relationships and environments and explores the relationship and tension between the individual and the groups.
The story calls for people to pay attention to the social phenomenon of lonely death, care for people around them, and think about how to prevent the tragedy of lonely death.
