DescriptionMartín studied BA Photography at Camberwell College of Arts and also undertook a diploma at the UAL Creative Computing Institute. He says:
''SHELLY' is a photograph of rock shells in Las Arenas beach. My work engages very closely with aspects like movement and ephemerality. I understand photography as something that does not finish when the image is taken but keeps evolving through editing and printing. My project revolves around the Basque landscape and the industrial history of Bilbao. The main industrial activity in during the 20th century was based in melting raw iron mineral into iron coils. The finished iron products were shipped internationally. The printing process also responded to metallurgy by printing on uncoated paper. Subjects range from rivers, forests and farm animals to ports, foundries and old factories.'
