DescriptionBart studied BA Photography at London College of Communication. He says:
'This image is essentially a bad cosplay of Neon Genesis Evangelion, a popular Anime series and an enduring coming-of-age icon. Here, the fetishist representation of the anime suffers from shoddy digital manipulation. Instead of perfecting my expression, the post-production gesture renders it uncannily inhuman. The self is literally effaced here and so is the fantastical form it hopes to inhabit, thus finding a whole new different expression from the wreckages'.
