Rosie and Anne Fleur explore a grotesque and visceral world of their own creation through an ongoing 3 year-long collaboration under the moniker 'Creature Feature'. Using time-based media, they venture through an odyssey of monsters and saints who serve as storytellers in a polarised visual universe to navigate the chaos of a contemporary existence through philosophy, ethics, and the bloody disgusting.
I Met A Demon *NOT CLICKBAIT* is a short video interview with a pair of Demons who have agreed to discuss things such as life in Hell, coronavirus’ disruption to work life, their hopes, dreams and fears and what it is that really makes a Demon tick. Conceived in the first 2020 lockdown to be used as a segment of a digital degree show which mixed live and pre-recorded elements the video aimed to explore some of the feelings isolation and life in lockdown gave rise to within us whilst still providing some humorous relief and striking a tone of surreal comedy. The work repurposes materials and limited objects that Creature Feature had at their disposal to build an isolated experience in just one room that is otherworldly, unfamiliar and separate from the bed-set they found themselves trapped in for the quarantine. Embodying the DIY approach that we hold dear and hopefully re-iterating our message that art need not be an elitist thing and can be made with any materials in any situation.
