DescriptionVideo work
Why am I here is a short film created in collaboration between four artist. The film explores collaborative work throughout lockdown and social distancing, and how one can create a performance piece when physical presence is impossible. the film was shot in four different countries, Italy, Latvia, Sweden and Greece. It includes the parts of process and discussions which lead to the final performance. The work was created through video calls, online workshops and individual filming. All the video calls were recorded.
This film is centered around process and a non-hierarchical way of working. Even though
we had set roles, the border between our jobs were blurred. Since we lacked the tactility
of working together in the same space the actual making and performing was left to be
influenced by each individual based on the prompts from the online workshops
